Former CSKA player Alexander Grishin stated on a match TV program that Barcelona won the Spanish championship because the team avoided internal conflicts.
In the 35th round home match, Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 2-0 to clinch the La Liga title early.
“Barcelona deserved the championship. They had no scandals or any other external distractions. Flick created a fantastic atmosphere within the team. Real Madrid lacks that,” Grishin said during the broadcast of “All on Match!” on Match TV.
The Catalan side has collected 91 points from 35 matches, leading second-placed Real Madrid by 14 points.
Barcelona has won the Spanish championship for the 29th time, while Real Madrid holds 36 titles.
