Tariq Lamptey has bid farewell to Fiorentina after the club and player mutually agreed to terminate his contract. The Ghanaian winger took to Instagram to express his deep regret at not being able to make an impact for the Viola.
“I was really looking forward to playing at the Stadio Franchi, wearing this shirt, helping the team on the pitch, and giving the fans reason to cheer. That was my goal, but I never got the opportunity to achieve it,” Lamptey wrote.
Despite the disappointment, Lamptey thanked everyone associated with the club during his stay. “Regardless, I am grateful for this experience and for all those who supported me during my time in Florence.” He extended his gratitude to the club, the president, the management, his teammates, the coaching staff, and the backroom personnel.
He also acknowledged the fans’ support: “I want to thank the fans who stood by me during the toughest moments. I will always remember Fiorentina with the utmost respect. I wish the club all the best. Forza Viola!”
