Inspired by the strong momentum under Tatsuya Tanaka’s interim management system, Urawa Reds’ young talent Takeshi Wada is fighting hard at the U-17 Asian Cup, which also serves as the final qualifier for the U-17 World Cup.
With only one step left to reach the U-17 World Cup, Wada is determined to make his mark. The 17-year-old forward, who has been turning heads at the club level, believes that his performances at the Asian Cup could open doors for further opportunities.
“If I show a good performance here, it will naturally lead to something bigger,” Wada said. His two clear missions are: to help Japan qualify for the World Cup, and to prove himself as a key player for the future of Urawa Reds.
